The Cycle of Organs
Apr 12th, 2008 by trevelyan
Just when I’d met China halfway and accepted the lunar cycle, I got this email explaining the “Cycle of Organs”. It is hands-down the strangest list I’ve run into in six years of working and living in China:
I will admit, #5 is pretty much right on the mark for me.
What I don’t get is what happens between 9am and 9pm every day? Does the cycle just repeat itself, or do my organs just get half the day off?
hahaha…I have a list akin to that posted on my refrigerator. My mom puts them up but no one in the family ever follows them. Then there are times when two separate schedules are in conflict with one another. But I guess it just shows the ridiculousness of it all.
A nurse friend told me to ‘fast with water’ . She said when we stop feeding our body, it will feed itself and it’s the best time to get rid off poision. By the way, she’s Australian.
